OTS Produces Annual Association Meeting in New Orleans

June was a busy month for the OTS team! As highlighted in our previous blog, we produced a Pharmaceutical Launch in Las Vegas, but we also produced an Annual Association Meeting for a client in The Big Easy. Held at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, the Annual Association Meeting brought 2,500 guests to New Orleans.

In true New Orleans fashion, we intended to have a Second Line lead guests from the end of the Opening General Session at the convention center to a reception and expo at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, which is just down the street. A second line is a beloved tradition in New Orleans and it is made up of the entertainers who follow behind the band in the traditional brass band parades of NOLA. The second line is there to enjoy the music, dance, and have a good time.

We worked closely with local NOLA officials and the police department to obtain the necessary permits for street closures and arrange police escorts. However, the day of the event travels were delayed and thrown off, leading the General Session to be canceled just hours before it was scheduled to begin. The OTS team drew from our years of experience to react and quickly moved all of the entertainment inside to the reception/expo area.

As a New Orleans Event Management Company who are experts in our field, we are flexible and quick thinking and can handle any situation that is thrown at us. We managed to roll with the changes and the entertainers from the second line performed in different areas throughout the Hilton. Guests were entertained by jugglers, big heads, and dancers who did mini performances.
