HIMSS15 Client Reception, 19 East – Chicago

On The Scene recently planned and managed a 700 person evening reception at the 19 East Event Gallery (formally the Chicago Illuminating Company). Held during the 22nd Annual HIMSS Conference in Chicago, the event accentuated the venue’s urban, contemporary flair housed in a two-story former power plant that dates back to the 1900’s. Upon arrival, guests enjoyed cocktails in the spacious outdoor courtyard, which featured contemporary and modern tables and chairs along with a specialty bar. Uplighting throughout the inside area in complementary tones along with highlighting of 4 company logos provided an inviting and warm environment. A sumptuous buffet dinner, provided by one of Chicago’s top caterers, offered unique takes on modern fare, such as a bacon-themed buffet station. Finally, guests danced and swayed to the rhythm & blues sounds of the high energy party band, the Chicago Catz.
